Being Sick Sucks
Did you ever notice that there’s only one letter difference between the word “sick” and the word “suck”?
Just as all the coronavirus stuff started getting fired up here in the U.S. (around the beginning of March), I got sick with… something. Bad cold? Flu? Covid-19? Who knows. There are so many illnesses out there where they tell us to watch out for “flu-like symptoms”.
I wasn’t that worried about it. It seems to be a pattern with me that I get sick around March of every year and then again around October of every year. The worst part is that I always end up with a cough that lingers for at least a month afterwards. Feel absolutely awesome otherwise, but *cough cough cough*.
Anyway, spent the past two weeks trying to get back into the creative flow by working on my tabletop role-playing-game system (the Ryu-Ki System second edition). And spent the two weeks before that half-knocked out on the couch by cold medicine and binge watching movies and tv shows I hadn’t seen before.
- Detective Pikachu – Fairly cute, but I’m a nerd, so there’s that.
- Godzilla, King of the Monsters – Honestly, how can you make giant monsters boring!?
- Alita: Battle Angel – Pretty awesome!
- Shazam – Cute and funny, but, yeah, most of what they say is “Philadelphia” in that movie definitely is not Philadelphia.
- Yesterday – Super awesome!
- Lucifer – Love this show. Can’t wait for the next season, even if they say it’s the last one. Boooo!
- The Magicians – Another one that I thought was pretty awesome. Dysfunctional Harry Potter for adults! Unfortunately, the final episode is tonight (Double BOOOOOO!). Here’s hoping Netflix or Amazon Prime pick it up!
- Beastars – A bizarre little anime. Like dysfunctional Zootopia for adults.
At any rate. Hope to have some scripts finished for Bad Buddhist Video fairly soon. Then just to get them filmed, edited, and uploaded!
